Who can bring pets to the Wunsche Pet Clinic?

The Wunsche Pet Clinic is open to all members of the Spring community.

What kinds of pets are welcome?

We accept your feline and canine companions (cats and dogs). We will accept other species upon request.

What services are available at the Wunsche Pet Clinic?

We offer a basic grooming service. This includes bathing, hair clipping, ear cleaning, nail clipping, teeth cleaning, grooming, routine vaccinations (DHPP, DHLPP, or FVRCP), and shaving. We also offer an analysis* of your pet. This includes a physical examination, fecal analysis, urinalysis, and heartworm testing. We have grouped these services into packages that you can choose from. We have “Spa Days”, “Monthly Exams”, and “Yearly Exams”. These services and their prices can be found on the service flyer.

What is the cost for the services?

The cost of these services varies with the services selected. Please see the service flyer for specific pricing.

Do I need to bring anything with my pet?

YES! You must have a copy of your pet’s current vaccinations. They must have their rabies vaccine, but we prefer that the pets have all of their shots, including kennel cough. These will be kept in your pet’s records. You may bring treats and/or food for your pet if you like. We ask that you do not bring towels or blankets unless they are donations. All dogs must be on a leash and cats must be in a carrier.

What time can I drop my pet off and pick it up?

In order to minimize classroom disruptions, please drop your pet off between 7:30 a.m. and 7:45 a.m. When your pet is ready, we will call you to inform you that your pet is ready to be picked from the clinic. Or, if you so choose, we can keep your pet at the clinic and you can pick it up between 2:00 p.m. and 2:15 p.m. All pets MUST be picked up by 2:30 p.m. The animal MUST be dropped off at the door by the workout room at Wunsche. This is located in the back parking lot by the Automotive Technology shop and the school workout facility/gym. When dropping your pet off, you MUST have a school issued visitors pass or school issued identification tag. You will not be allowed in the building without one of those.

* Wunsche Pet Clinic is an on-site teaching facility focused on student learning through hands-on experiences. All services are supervised by the instructor. We do not offer diagnosis on analytical testing results. You must consult your veterinarian for diagnosis and treatment, if necessary.
